The programme commenced with the lighting of the holy Vidya Jyoti. The event featured traditional activities like folk singing, spinning the charkha, cooking on earthen stove, Fine Art Exhibition and swinging. Famous Punjabi folk singers Aujla Brothers presented Punjabi folk songs, promoting awareness about Punjabi culture and family values. The 'Miss Teej' competition was a major attraction, with Ms. Mansi being crowned as Miss Teej, Harsha was chosen first runner-up, Babita was selected as second runner-up and Jyoti Bala was crowned as Sunakhi Mutiyar. Mrs. Nishanta Trikha, Mrs. Rama Sharma and Mrs. Sunita Ohri were the prestigious judges for the competition. Other esteemed guests Mr. Paramjit Singh Kalsi (Language Officer Gurdaspur), Mrs. Namita Gupta, Principal Nirmal Pandhi, Principal Rajwinder Kaur, Mrs. Santosh Sharma, Mrs. Kamalraj (Director Kamal welfare society) and Sanjogta Gupta graced the occasion. The event concluded with the felicitation of the chief guest and dignitaries, and the distribution of prizes to the winners. The audience enjoyed traditional Punjabi delicacies, including Malpurha and Kheer. The giddha dance performance by the students and guests added charm to the festive atmosphere.` Mela tiyaan da 'was a grand success.
